The blinding of schoolboy, Richard Moore, and the ‘Disappearing’ of Seamus Ruddy

Continuing our ‘Speaking for Myself’ series, our Witnesses are Richard Moore, whose young life was changed forever on Thursday May 4th 1972; as he ran past an army lookout post on his way home from school, a British army officer fired a rubber bullet at point blank range into his face, totally blinding the ten year old child for life, and Anne Morgan, whose thirty three year-old brother, Seamus Ruddy, was murdered and disappeared by The INLA in Paris on May 9, 1985.

This event is chaired by Truth and Reconciliation Platform co-founder, Stephen Travers. The executive producer and co-founder of TaRP, Eugene Reavey, joins us from TaRP HQ in Whitecross, County Armagh and the Truth and Reconciliation Platform Ambassador to The UK, Joe Campbell, joins us from London.

Speaking for Myself’ and ‘Music – A Bridge Over Troubled Waters’ are Truth and Reconciliation Platform educational projects, hosted by The Miami Showband Peace Centre Online and assisted by the consultant and coach, Tracy Dempsey.
