The Troubles: A Woman’s Heart – Pat Irvine & Jo Berry

Truth and Reconciliation Platform presents the fourth discussion in its “Speaking for Myself” series from The Miami Showband Peace Centre online. The Witnesses for this TaRP event are Pat Irvine whose mother, Kathleen, was murdered along with fourteen other innocent victims in the “McGurks Bar Bombing” in Belfast on December 4th 1971 and Jo Berry whose father, Sir Anthony Berry, Deputy Chief Whip of The Tory Party, was murdered in The Brighton Bombing on October 12th 1984.

The Panellists are Liz Gillis who teaches History at Champlaine College in Dublin and is also a researcher for The History Show on RTÉ. Also on the panel is the Barrister at Law, Human Rights Campaigner and former Member of The European Parliament, Patricia McKenna.

The Chairman is Miami Showband Massacre survivor, Stephen Travers, who is also the Chairman and co-founder of Truth and Reconciliation Platform.
